The bass drum has been painted with white base paint and sanded with 240-grit.
I've drawn these guidelines for the masking tape so it'll be easier to get a
straight edge.
This is one way to get those lines straight. I used a soft pencil and a piece
of sanding paper.
Next I'll apply masking tape. I'll make sure it won't mask any of the pencil
lines, so they will all get covered by the black paint.
With all the masking tape in place.
The view from the other side. Ready to be painted.
After black paint and metal flake spray! Will be dry in a week.
