Biography
I started playing the drums back in the year 2000. I learned my first beats listening to latter day Metallica records and tapping my fingers on tables. A while later I got a pair of drum sticks.
We started a band with my friend's younger brother, we covered The Trooper, Paranoid and a few other songs at an band event at our high school and rehearsed at the brothers' dad's workplace.
Later a high school friend introduced Dream Theater to me and I couldn't resist the call of the dark side. At some point I was practicing 5 hours a day, mostly Portnoy -fills and other stuff to impress other drummers.
In 2003 I moved to Riihimäki to study Media Technology and soon joined a band called Opain from the neighbour town of Hyvinkää. Opain was disbanded in 2008 but we eventually started a new project with Pete, the guitarist, and a long-bearded bass player found in the internet. We are called The Music of Erich Zann.
